One Day

I got an initial round for a big tour going out. They gave us 3 days to learn the material (including 2 piano songs). I had a gig that weekend to sing at an event at The Cosmos Club in DC, so I had to learn everything on Friday. I luckily only taught 3 lessons that day so had time to focus. I busted my butt on the material, it wasn't perfect, but I truly worked so hard. It's hard submitting when you know it could be better - but also I knew I put out great work and they could see potential if they were interested. I found out a few days later that the call had been extended, and a few days later extended again, and then again. This was frustrating, as I would have loved to have had more time. But truthfully this happens and I can't dwell on it. I don't think I made it to the next round, but this show is on my radar for the future.
